Do you want to achieve fame/recognition or Wealth…then get in here guys!

Hahaha….dont mind me o! it was one of my interview with Barrister Shobamowo, Gbolahan Jospeh…kinda of teasing him……but on a more serious note he was quite open to the world of sports…a hobby he loves so much.
I totally enjoyed the interview…wish the government can put this into consideration
Take a read at what he has to say about the international sports abroad and that of Nigeria
Sports are pretty advantageous to human living. It aids good living, enhances long life,a channel for achieving fame- may be world recognition
Football,  Basketball, Hockey, Volleyball, ping - pong, lawn tennis, swimming, squash, taekwando,  judo, wrestling and boxing are perhaps the most common to recognise. Billions of dollars and pounds are drained from individual pocket and corporate entities accounts to bring life to these sports just as individuals and corporate entities take stocks of their profits on same. This, in essence depicts that sports are really economically viable. This is perhaps some countries will focus more on particular sports and make gains from it to aid their economies- England as to football, USA as to basketball and football, India as to hockey, Saudi Arabia, Dubai and a couple of Middle - East countries as to Horse race and polo, while Nigeria is assumed to be associated with football (unfortunately and in reality, it is not).

Nigeria sports platform seems Jack of all trade and Master of none considering the fact that most of our talented sportsmen will rather go abroad to exhibit their God gifted and developed talents, I doubt if any American or English sportsman will come base in Nigeria to showcase what he or she has got except when they simply come on tour or transient occasion.  This to me appears an OMEN not just to the sports industry/ministry but also the economy at large, in the view of the prospective income Nigeria has been losing over the years.

Yes! There was a time that the Nigeria boxing segment of the industry attempted to be active and promising, I doubt it the story remains the same, save for some local organizers trying their best. Government efforts in this area is not totally unrecognized but it could be better, may be good!
This might mean the boxing industry is moribund. Just as a baby without breastfeeding feeding from  self - acclaimed loving mother. As for the football industry, kudos to the likes of Mike Adenuga Orji Uzor Kalu, late Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola and a couple but handful of football lovers who have taken it upon themselves to privately invest in the football sector. These are leading and worthy - of - emulation leaders that the Government needs to beyond recognition assist in establishing a world competitive football sector in Nigeria.

Football and boxing seems to be strength of Nigerian in sports. Our government at all tiers and meaningful private investors should look more into this sectors and encourage the actors therein in ensuring that participants are loaded with confidence in the system by giving wealthy remuneration and assuring the investors' profit dream achievement. Beyond the fight against corruption, all the clean players in the industry should also be praised in whatever worthy form.  This will most likely or perhaps sure make them the Bellerophon riding Pegasus at the Athena flying into the Olympus. Olympic championship in these sports and many more my end up being ours!
